Which Blow Off / Dump Valve??

As most of you know, im currently doing my turbo conversion. i want to install a dump valve into the system so i get that 'Tssschhhh!' noise when i change gear, but i dont wanna skimp on the looks either. Can anyone suggest a nice dump valve, not silly money stuff though. Please post links or pics.

I would go with a Apexi twin chamber blow off valve. It can be adjusted and has two chambers to assist in opening the relief valve. But it really comes to personal choice, they all do the same damn thing.

go for the Greddy BOV Type-S! It looks good and is highly constructed out of aluminum. The best thing about it is that it is adjustable

I would recirculate the BO air. Seriously you'll probably end up with driveability problems. I mean it might drive OK but wouldn't you rather have better power and drivability than sound?

If you'd rather just have the sound get one of these.

Dude I'm serious. I saw a civic with one of these a while ago. I was waiting at a light trying to turn left I saw this civic crusing down the oncoming lane. From a far I though, oh cool he's got a turbo. Then as he got close I noticed it was FLAT and obviously fake. I thought it was just the lamest thing I've ever seen! I guess it all goes back to the guys that would stuff socks in their shorts to make their package look bigger. Trying to look like you have something you don't. It's sad really.

hey, you guys can come up with some wierd shit but hell its funny:hehehe: the thing is, i can actually see people buying this shit!

Ive ordered the HKS SSQV off the same guy who got me the head gasket, well in actual fact, its around the same price so i asked if he could swap it for me, as he already has my money. Its just, while im turboing my DE, i wanna do it right, and do it nice.

G-Force, what is the downside of NOT recirculating the gases? my guess was that it could create a slight lag, as the pressure would have to be built up again when boost comes in.

It's been talked about before, but I'll reiterate again. PAY ATTENTION NEXT TIME!

Nissan air measureing units acutally measure the volume or mass of the air that passes it. The CPU accounts for this 'mass' and sends fuel to the chamber as appropriate. If you dumped off that air then you'll get more gas and not enough air. Because ou dumped it out of the system and the ECU thinks it should be there. What will probably end up happenig is you get some stumbling during shifts and when you let off the gas during high acceleration. Worst case you foul up your plugs eventually and degrade performance. I think after anyone goes turbo it would be a good idea to keep an eye on those plugs for a while.

Thanks G, i understand now. the good thing is, that buying this valve has not been a waste as ive come across this fitting.

so if it doesnt work out as expected, then i can always use this to recirculate the gases on the HKS SSQV
