Re: Quiz Time
i don't know much about it, just saw pics...
i imagine that it's not set up as optimally as possible. and honestly, even on a high boost wrx like that, the lag isn't that bad. it sure doesn't warrant that much extra time/money under the hood... |

Re: Quiz Time
In the original USCC in SCC, (Ultimate Street Car Challenge in Sport Compact Car for the uninitiated), there was a twincharged first gen mr2. it pulled 338 hp and ran a 13.09, but apperantly there were serious problems with the switch from sc to turbo at 3500 rpm and it didn't get good power again till 5000.

I think i'd have a sensory orgasm if I heard a turbocharger and supercharger at the same time
too bad they're having so much trouble developing a reliable system.

Re: Quiz Time
if you want to go the turbo-supercharger route, you should check the Nissan March Super-Turbo!!

Re: Quiz Time
There is "twin charged" MK1 MR2 that has gone 11s in the US. It was featured on the cover of Sport Compact Car years ago.
Turbo Magazine recently did a built up of MK2 MR2 and they installed a V6 with a supercharger and turbocharger. Twin charging is a wonderful (albeit expesive) solution to turbolag and superchargers running out of breathe. They compliment each other. what about twin turbos and a supercharger? ...there is always this beast:
