What?

You all talk about this Evo VII like every single person here can afford it. You are talking about $30,000! Have you all gone to LaLa Land? I dont doubt there MAY(not likely) someone who could get it, but theres like a hundred of you talking about "Im gonna get one!" Hello! I myself would love an Evo VI RS-2 left hand drive more than anything, but if I can only afford an Mirage DE sedan, im not going to cream my pants about an Evo IV,V or VI. Be realistic, and dont sell dreams to yourself.

i totally agree with you
i myself would do almost anything to have a blue evolution VI GSR left hand drive. but i live in canada man.
well i know how you feel about people saying how their buying an EVO. but most people are in UK. they get lancers imported from japan. and in america we only get the crappy lancer OZ model or something.
most people buying these cars are probably middle to late 20's. with a very good paying job. or rich family.
but dont be mad at yourself. we all in north america share the same feeling and some are just BSing.

I am graduating college in May and I have a really good job lined up. I have a decent car that I will sell, which will provide for a heafty down payment. Not to mention the $ I will save from now till 2003. Also, Mitsubishi will give a instant $500 off for anyone that has graduated college in the past 2 yrs. That should bring monthly finance payments on the Evo to somewhere around $375 a month.

Not to mention I have already put down a deposit which makes me $500 closer to an Evo than everyone else. :evillaugh

Don't ask me how all the teenagers out there are going to swing a 30K car without their parents. After all that arguing, I guess everyone is getting 29K for their b-day and x-mas just like morgnum...

yea, but unfortunately you know he is right, most of the people on this site are just pozers and couldnt afford the EVO VII if it was less....

thats why you all need to buy the cheaper model and stick stickers on it to make it look like the more expensive model....hey it works with civics....

Under 30K could mean $29,999. I am hoping for $25,000 to $27,000.

I don't know how long the $500 off is for.
Just go to www.mitsucars.com (site is down right now)

Why dont you guys quit trying to discourage everyone. Anyone who wants this car can get it if they educate themselves correctly....its people like you who sit around and bitch that dont get it. Get a sales job making 8 an hour right now......manage your money correctly...invest...maybe real estate..flip property...rent apartments on 30 year loans...16% tax liens..How about you guys who cant afford it set a goal and do whatever is possible to reach it? Learn about personal finance instead of bitching how you cant afford it. Although im not talking about high school students.....and I believe you can make TONS more money educating yourself properly on the subject of money than going to college....but thats just me...I know I'll be able to afford it...I dont like people who try to ruin other peoples dreams....that dream just may be what gets them the car.....and you giving up hope may be what keeps you from getting the car

Just wait till the car really comes out because no one will know how much it will actually cost. Over 30k or under, its no biggy because if you can fork out at least 27k for it it wouldn't make much difference because you will probably be able to afford one. But I doubt the car will be under 30k including taxes and stuff. This is a rare car and not just a typical car you see on the streets everyday. Also it wont be out until next year so you never know if the price will increase because its too early to tell. Theres no GUARANTEE it will be under 30k by the time its available. I have seen alot of magazines quote prices on cars but when it really does come out its not always true on what they say. Just chill and wait

If you love the car so much I am pretty sure that even though its a couple of grand more, you will eventually fork out the extra cash to get one.

Here's some perspective for you folks: my E7 cost me US$83,780 in this part of the world. Which is about the same price you'd pay for a BMW 318 here. That was just for informational purposes only, don't read too deeply into that.

Peace out.

Well, I can afford it. I don't even have to sell any bodyparts or donate any fluids!
