Hey guys, me and my friends have been debating this. who would win in the 1/4 mile, a 4th gen Vtec lude with a turbo or a WRX Sti???

Too many factors involved. Although no matter what you do, the sti will jump on you hard on the launch. (AWD Powa)

Give us your plans for the build and maybe we can give you a better idea.

i was thinkin turbonetics t3/t4 hybrid turbine, FMAX turbo manifold and piping, sparco front mont intercooler HKS super sequential blow off valve, RC engineering 550cc injectors. and of course, this will all be with the usual stuff I/H/E. also ill be running around 10-15psi.

The wrx sti, that thing is faster than an M3 it has 17.5 psi and is awd, I would put my money on the STI, even though I love ludes and own one myself!!

Re: TurboCharged Lude vs. 04' STi

the sti only pushes 14 psi stock. off the line til aobut 80-85, i'll put my money on the sti everytime. above 85 you may have a chance. i mean i smoked a C5 corvette off the line in my bro's sti but towards the end of the race i could see him pullin ever so slightly on me.

And so is the STI. Don't get me wrong, I think the Prelude will be substantially faster, just don't think it would be enough to catch a STI, unless the STI is a bad driver.

Through the 1/4, STi against any Prelude without aftermarket internals or serious engine management.

ehh i guess i dont really care then. as long as my lude can hang in the leagues with STi's and EVOs id be happy. oh yeah, and how would it fair against the v8 firebirds, camaros, stangs, and other turbos like talons and eclipses???

boost on an h22 is asking for trouble.
you need great fuel management, just to get by.
you should consider building the motor properly.

flywsi's right

You're gonna want to resleeve, get forged pistons, new rods, valves, springs, retainers. the whole deal.

Boosting your h22 will get you some real power, but not without a pretty penny.
