Try Testors white backed decal paper. It is carried at most hobbie shops. It works good for me. I hope that I have helped.

That would work to I'm sure. I just buy Testors from the LHS because i don't have to deal with ordering it.

That site looks like it is worth a try! Anybody know exactly what "Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear High Gloss" they tell you to spray over inkjet printed decals is?

Re: A good white Decal Sheet ?

I was more interested in details of the type of paint in the can. Is it lacquer or water based? A simple fixative or whatever. They seem to have picked this stuff out as the best to use, why? To be honest I'm not expecting my question to be easily answered. I was thinking of maybe trying some Tamiya polycarbonate spray. PC is very flexable and bonds well as it is designed for lexan RC bodies.

Although, since the Jag project fell at the first hurdle it may not be much of an issue for me at the moment.

Re: A good white Decal Sheet ?

My guess is that its a lacquer, like the Testors spray. If it was water based, the ink on the decals would smear before it dried.

Krylon clear is a very hard finish but goes on pretty rough, it's also one of the most toxic smelling paints I have ever used. Most of Krylon's paints are Acrylic Enamel but the clear acts and smells like laquer. A better choice I have used on decals is Duplicor's clear laquer, it lays down much smoother and rubs out nicely although it is a little harder finish than Tamiya.
