I wouldn't suggest pondering on the idea, It's stupid!!! But if you want to I heard that you could wire up a spark plug to your exhaust and to a button and hit the button, rev up and wall-llah, flames. But please don't do it, it's so retarded!!! Don't mess up a nice car!
It's Just a MOVIE!!!

you don't even have to hook it up to a button, just put a spark plug in your exhaust and rev! But it's all for show, and it doesn't help performance at all, and it'll probably attract the 5-0 if you have that in your car all the time.

Most of the cars you see that have flames exiting the exhaust are ones that discharge unburnt fuel into the exhaust. When the fuel enters the hot exhaust it is ignited producing the flame. It has no real purpose except that it looks cool.

Well...you can up the fuel pressure so that the car runs extremely rich and then you might be able to get the flame. But it is pointless and I don't see the reason why everyone wants to do this.......

carb?????? the 88 civics are all fuel injected. The revs need to be pretty high.

Ah, I gotcha now. Sorry about that. Yes you need to run somewhat rich to get the flames. The other way is to just use the spark plug trick. I have no clue on to how to make it stay in there...sorry

yes, it can be done. it's been done before by rednecks. do you wanna be a redneck?

it really works. dont waste your time since it seems you wouldnt be able to do it anyways, especially if you assume you just "chuck a sparkplug into your exhaust"
