New Beetle or old?

Which VW Beetle do you prefer? These two both have custom paint jobs, but the poll is on the standard cars.

Sorry, the 2nd car does not have a custom paint job! I meant to post a different picture. My appologies!

Old. The new beetles aren't even beetles IMO. They should have kept the engine in the back.

/\/\/\ Yes, they should've left the engine in the rear. Otherwise I'd go with a New Beetle. There's some company, for the life of me I can't think of the name, that will swap a V6 out of a Jetta into the New Beetle. They tested it & got a 4.7 0-60 time. I'll go look through my old car mags & post back later....

i'm going old for this one...

you could easily swap a vr6 or whatever into the beetle, b/c it's the same platform as a golf/jetta... so it'll bolt in.

i'd go with an old beetle and a few porsche parts stuffed inside with a turbo...

flat black please...

the old beetles are classic, they're...funky (for lack of a better word), with the engine in the back and everything :apoke:

New Beetle is a POS. If they wanted to resurrect the car properly at least they would have made it good to drive, like BMW did with the Mini. Result? Beetle was a fashion accessory that got old very very quickly. The new Mini is also a fashionable car but one that drives better than many so-called sports cars. Take heed, Volkswagen. It's time to up your game
