Question Looking for a car, i got $3,200, any suggestions?

My honda accord was smashed today and it looks like the damage is gonna be beyond repair. So i get 500 less than the blue book, which comes to $3,200. I may be able to spend up to 4-5k but i'm not sure i'll be able to and id rather stick in the $3,200 zone. I know its not much but i am open to any suggestions on what i should get.

Just as an idea i was thinking maybe an old 80's 280Z, or an 87-90 GTI.

Any input is welcome,
Thanx

hmmmmm, about $2,500? i've seen some fairly nice early 90's(like 90-91) 240's for about $3000. They're a great car to work with, awesome handling, rear wheel drive, and it's a nissan. If you really look you might actually be able to find an early to mid 80's 300. There was a mint condition 85 300ZX V6 5 speed manual with only like 50,000 KM, not miles but km. Absolutely no rust or any kind of damage and they only wanted $3500 canadian.

thanks soo much for the suggestions.

I looked at some turbo 300z's today. They look really cool and V6 5 speed is nice. Plus they are easy to work on. only downside is that its only a 2 seater. The GTI's were alright but i dont think they are as fast as the 300's

Anyway, im open to more suggestions. I'm going to a car auction tommorow, so ill see what i can find there

I'd recommend a 1986 Corolla GTS. Go visit www.club4ag.com for a look at some fixed up ones.

Thanks alot for the suggestion. The rally corrolas are really cool. but im pretty sure the 300z turbo would smoke a stock corrola GTS. How much stock hp do they have? How much would it cost to get it rally-ready?

Edit: I just noticed u have the same car i had. :frog:
