Talking the Most...Women/Men.

Okay, I heard this song on the radio a little bit ago and it got me thinking. Do you guys find that women in general never shut up? And if you do, how often do you say something? And yes, girls you can pipe up too...I think we all know a few men out there who just don't shut up from time to time.

I'm a guy. but it depends what subject is going. things like cars, movies, music and computers I can go on for hours.

I'm usually quiet until I start on about cars, then you can't shut me up.

I also talk to myself when I'm working on a car quite a bit, if that counts. Must look a bit odd, but I don't care.

"Where's the 10 mm?" "Hmmm, Just had it!" "Oh, here it is, ok time to take off the EGR..."

Anyone see Chris Rock's "Bigger and Blacker" show? He does a whole part on women and how they don't shut up....for example how the man doesn't even have both feet in the door when he gets home and his woman is already gabbing a mile a minute. A friend brought the DVD over the other nite and all thru that part Alex kept looking at me and smiling....wonder why?

I think for the most part women tend to talk more than men, however I know of some men who just never seem to shut up!

I dunno what it is....I usually think of something important or something to say only when Alex is in the middle of something, just getting in, or on his way to the little boys room.

it depends. If its about cars, I know guys that will go on forever (myself in cluded), but i also know girls that will go on forever. in non-spefic converstations, i find that girls will go on more than guys will, at least around me.

If a girl tends to go on about fashion, make-up etc etc, I tend to order another drink and slouch, but if it moves to movies, cars, sport or Music then I instantly come alive

Actually, no. Men talk more than women. Studies of conversations have found a huuuuge imbalance in how much "talking time" men and women get. In fact, if a man and a woman are talking, and a woman does half the talking, she is almost always seen as talking much more than the man.

I think its because we guys like to talk about cool stuff like cars and women. All women want to talk about is boring stuff like their hair or makeup or yesterday's Days of our Lives.

Most of the time I'm quiet, unless certain people are around or someones talking about cars. But women can talk about absolutely nothing for hours and hours and hours on end without the other person saying much of anything at all other then "really? oh. hm. yeah." or something like that.
