Private School Network

I would have to agree with you Chris. Coming from a private school myself, it's been interesting to say the least. When our network was down for four days, luckily kbslacker clued me into using a dial-up connection, and so my problems were solved. Some others figured that out as well, but overall, there were about 2,000 students causing quite a stir. Maybe it's just a sign that perhaps we have gotten rather lost in technology, so much so that we don't know how to entertain ourselves without it.

Interesting, I have a hardware firewall and I use AIM just fine. Do you have ZoneAlarm or Black Ice?

hey me be smart, me missed this the first time . this reminds me of the time when we linked four computers to one dial-up account on the bad phone lines and it was still faster than our network except the first couple days of school.

I am not sure what we have at the office. Actually we can't download AIM so I had been using AIM Express but can't use that now. I think they blocked applets or something

I’ve never been able to have AIM at work due to needing Administrators rights to install it. I even tried the AIM Express to no avail. Stoopid restrictions!!
