What was this kid thinking?!?!

A bunch of my friends and I were out at our local hangout enjoying a cup of coffee, looking at my 90 teg and talking about possible mods for it when some kid walks up and starts talking trash about my car. I told the kid to put up or shut up. So all of us walk over to his car. A 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage LS. It's lowered and has Autozone vinyl graphics with a 3 inch exhaust tip. So I start asking question on what he has done to his car. Hold on to your chairs... He has one of those electric turbos, some chip he got from Ebay for 50 bucks. I'm trying not to laugh at this kid. I asked him which kit he used to lower his car. He replied "I just cut the springs". I just say "oh" then took a look inside the car... automatic. I'm trying so hard not to laugh at this kid because I'm really a nice person. Hell my POS 88 Celica GTS (May it rust in HELL) would beat this kid to shame without leaving 4th gear. Well I was going to let this kid walk away with this one because I know my car is better. But oh hell no... my crazy ass friends decide to turn up the heat on this kid and tell him how much his car sucks. So the kid gets pissed off and challenges me to a race. I have not said one bad word about the kid's car and he gets mad at me because of my friends. I really didn't want to get into it with this kid. But this stupid kid decides to use a racial slur to describe my g/f. I decide not to kick his ass but to hurt him in a way he would never think of. I decided to make him hurt his car. I know of a road that is hardly used that has a couple of railroad tracks intersecting it. My friends always have walkie talkies in thier cars for occasions like this. I just told the kid to follow me. We go out to the road and set up lookouts to make sure the road is clear of traffic. We line up and take off. I'm beating this car badly by the time we hit the tracks. I tap my brakes and do a quick front-rear wieght shift so when I hit the tracks my front end is raising up and I don't hit the tracks too hard. I go over the tracks with no prob. The kid on the other hand is not so lucky. He must of hit the tracks hard. I start to slow down to see if he made it over the tracks but after about 5 seconds I knew he didn't. So I stop and turn around to make sure the kid is ok. What I saw was a kid looking at his car with the front tires flat, a puddle of oil, antifreeze, and tranny fluid coming from underneath his car, the front end all messed up and scattered along the road. If he had not said anything about my g/f I would of given him a ride back into town and got a friend to tow his car for free. I get out of my car and radio to the lookouts that the kid totalled his car and the race was over. Then I walked over to the kid and said this:

"Here is where you made the mistakes that lead up to this. First one was cutting your springs it's bad for your suspension. Then those electric turbos are not worth it, they're crap. Next most chips off Ebay are just a bunch of resistors that really don't do anything. And finally next time you use a racial slur to describe someone hope they just beat your ass."

I turned around got back in my car and drove off leaving him there. I know it was mean of me to leave him there but all he had to do was shut up and walk away when my friends were giving him hell. I really did not want to race the kid. You know I hope this is mine and the kid's last race. What I did was dangerous and illegal as hell. I know some of you guys are going to tell me what I did was wrong, illegal and dangerous.. hell I know that. Do I feel bad about what happened? OH HELL NO!!! The little punk got what he deserved.

That's one of the coolest stories ever. That kid's got to be pissed at you. Watch your back, he may be looking for revenge.

Re: What was this kid thinking?!?!

man u aint do nothing wrong in my opinion, its one thing to talk about cars but leave the girls out of it...the kid was an obvious jerk who didnt know much about the game and needed a little spanking to get his mind right...some lessons in life you learn that hard way and that was one of his, next time he'll think twice bout popping off at the mouth bout you, your car, and your shorty

GOOD FREAKIN KILL (all of them his ego, the race and his car)

Re: What was this kid thinking?!?!

I learned the brake tap trick racing a 90 Pontiac Grand Am with a quad 4 and bad struts. I'm friggin lucky it work.. Let off the gas tap the brakeswait for the weight of the car to shift forward and then tap the gas to shift the wieght backwards. It takes time to learn to get the timing down but driving over track everyday delivering pizzas for 6 to 8 hours a day it gives you lots of time to practice. At 3 am it's easy to forget little details like the kid was crying when I stopped. Yea he's alreadt talking trash about me

Re: What was this kid thinking?!?!

awesome story man.. i definitely agree with what you did leaving him behind.. kids like that don't deserve to be on the road.. just make sure that he doesn't come after your car with some keys or something.. you never know what ricers will do when you hurt the sliver of pride they have.. excellent kill man, definitely brightened my day

Re: What was this kid thinking?!?!

Checked with a friend of mine and got some info on the kid's car. Hold on to your chairs...

Over $2000 USD to repair the car. Damn I actually start to feel bad but when I remember what he called my g/f I feel he got what he deserve. My friends are asking me if I'm going to get back into racing. I might but not as much as I used to I have a person in my life that means alot to me and I would not want to do anything to put that in danger. After my g/f gets done with college I plan on going back to school for automotive. After that I'm thinking about opening up a speed shop where I live because there really isn't one around.
