Post FWD Drifting

Right Click Save As...

Pretty Impressive... But I must say I'm not taking sides, just posting... I can't say this link will be here forever. The internet can be highly unreliable in that aspect.

Review the video and think what you will.

Remember, I'm not looking to start any flame wars. Just providing a link...

Post your opinions... But if it starts to get out of hand, even with one comment this thread is history.

Re: FWD Drifting

Looks like he's using ALOT of e-braking to keep that slide, and he's loosing lots of speed. I guess if you wanna drift FF, then its a matter of technique.

Re: FWD Drifting

ok first of all, your a freaking mod, why would you open a thread that repeatedly starts flame wars?

second, when looking in the car he uses the e-brake like 4-5 times per corner, and when looking outside you can see the wheels lock up a lot, plus the only time it ever smokes the tires is when they are locked.... how easy is that...

1. Yes I'm a mod. I can start a thread on any topic I want. So could you.

2. I was given the link by a friend, thought it'd be nice to share it with you folks.

3. I'm monitoring the thread closely for any type of flaming. Remeber I did post this...

4. Yes, he has to use the handbrake multiple times. But so do D1GP drivers, ever see the in car videos? They're yanking on the e-brake several times per corner in the tight sections.

Re: FWD Drifting

You do realise that everyone uses the e-brake in D1. Note that the wheels of FF drifters car stay mostly locked up all the time. (rear tyres are usually thinner than fronts too)

And yes FF's can drift but they don't do that well in competitions because they can't perform as well as the FR's

Re: FWD Drifting

i didnt know D1 drifters used the E-Brakes? i thought they'd just use the rear wheels to make the whole car drift. oh well, that Civic drifting is one cool and weird video tho.

Yeah but they dont pump it like 10 times in a corner...

They just use it to correct the drift angle, not to keep it going.

i would consider that powersliding. its probably hard to dynamic drift with that car as well.

Re: FWD Drifting

the only way you can drift a FF is my inertia drifting it... i've done it with my MX-3 GS... but you loose about 5 MPH exiting but you can enter the corner at like 10 mph faster... it requires a really good weight shift for it to happen though
