New 2005 Corvette or zo6

I dont know much about the new corvettes except that they got the LS2 engine which is a 6L 400HP engine. I dont know if it's lighter than the zo6. But what do you guys think. I think the new vette can take the z06. And i also think it looks alot better, i dont like pop up lights very much.

I don't much about it but I never likes pop-up lights too much either.

I don't like either of the 2's styling, I'd have to go with the C5 Z06 though, not quite as ugly in my opinion.

Once the new vettes have the convertables on the road, I think the Z06 is going to lose its appeal to me.

I'm honestly glad fixed headlights were incorporated, and also the fact that they trimed down the length of the car. The interior is still the #1 reason for having it over the C5 Z06 IMO. I can only wonder what the C6 Z06 will possibly look like.... I'd put up a concept pic but its to big.

So what does everybody think performance wise? I think the New C6 could take on the Z06. Close but i have confidence in the LS2 engine.

Re: New 2005 Corvette or zo6

the c6 is being designed to beat the zo6...
that was the benchmark...
so the high end c5 is the base model c6 in performance...
which means the new zo6 is going to be 500ish hp... easy...

if you keep up on these things, you'll realize that the new "base" cars for a model are designed to be at least as good as the high end of the previous design...

Re: New 2005 Corvette or zo6

I hope it can't... well, the current Z06 is 405HP, while the new C6 is 400HP, not that that makes a hell of a difference, perhaps the zZ06 still has better other systems... I mean, it wouldn't be wise marketing to make the new base model faster than the last high end model, then what did all those Z06 owners pay an extra $10K for, they just could've waited... as for the new Z06 or whatever high end model there will be, it's gonna have to be sweet.
