Exclamation Rims for my R34

Hello to all,
I need a bit of help. I purchased a Skyline R34 from Motorex two weeks ago with money have been saving up. I have just enough left over for rims and paint. It is in the process of being painted Oriental Blue (sorta like a navy blue but better). I have my mind made up on what rims I want but not sure of the color. The rims are Racing Hart Evolution J8 Pro, the gold pair thats on the white skyline on the cover of Sport Compact. The question is, what color would go well with oriental blue. Gold, Silver, or Graphite? Sorry for the long explanation but wanted to be a bit specific. Any opinions or input is gladly appreciated. Thanx...

Re: Rims for my new R34

man i would have to say that decision is totally up to you. It is YOUR car but i know what ur going through...wheel shopping is a bitch!!!! But as far as my opinion i currently am in this gold/bronze phase for some reason. But the decision is entirely yours.

Re: Rims for my new R34

Any of those wheel colors should match up okay with the car color you have.

The Silver is a bit more mainstream, and it goes with just about anything.

Gold will work as long as you don't mind looking a bit like an STi's big brother, since blue car/gold wheels is a very popular combination with Subarus.

I'm partial to graphite, because I've wanted that for my car...which is black. I don't know what to tell you with a blue car. I've seen a few blue cars with graphite wheels, and I thought they looked fine.

I also can't help but wonder how you managed to get an R34 as well, but this isn't the place for that, and I don't want to get off-topic.

These wheels are waiting to go on my R34:

They are Volks CE28N's (19X10.5)
I ordered bronze, but they look more like gold!
I can put a pic up soon with them on on a dummy fit when I am going to see my car (in the process of an engine rebuild).

Re: Rims for my new R34

What colour is oriental blue? Can you show an example of it (even on another car)?

A friend has a bayside R34 with bronze LMGT4's - looks fantastic. I have bronze TE37s on mine - but is purple. Bronze wheels look great on most colours

Oh R34 GTR - Nice. Those Rays kiddies sure make nice rims

Here's a pic so far of the rebuild, wheel was fitted to see if the offset were correct. But still awhile before completion!

Don't worry, the rear discs will be painted!

Re: Rims for my new R34

That's a nice color combo. It's cool to see it on something other than a Subaru.hehe

Re: Rims for my new R34

as of right now, i'm calling BS on both of you who claim to have r34's.

r34_gtr, where do you live?
sequentials:
motorex hasn't had an r34 for quite a while, especially not lately, since they can't legalize them.

and i don't think they just had one "sitting on the lot"...
or maybe they did...

so both of you, tell us...

one more thing, neither of you have ANY info filled out in your profiles. no zip codes, no nothing.
sequential, yours says you've got a 97 civic.

do you guys have any info to prove that you're not lying?

What makes you say I'm BS? What if you are wrong? Will you swallow your words if I prove you wrong? I see a public apology of some sort is in order....

OK, what proof do you want? The receipt of the purchase of the car from the dealer, pics?
