good idea?
hello friends.
i have a ka24de with 109k miles i wanna turbo it, but don't have the funds to rebuild it will my car explode? (meaning, be breaking all the time) thanks

the funds that you will use to turbo it, dont
buy another KA and rebuild that, or just rebuild this engine if u have time start from step 1, you wont regret it

Depending on the condition of the KA motor and how much boost you want to run, you may or may not need a rebuild. I've heard people running around 8-10psi on a stock block (Daily Drivers too!). Plan to spend on an upgraded fuel system at the least though. Of course, there's no reason NOT to rebuild your current motor, unless you don't have the money or are satisfied with low boost. Just 5 psi goes a long way on a KA.
