spark plug gap

What is the reccomended spark plug gap for 2000 honda ex? I just got iridium denso's and haynes says try .039-.043 while under the hood say 1.0-1.1 also my gap tool does not pass 1.0 so whats the truth?

Always do what Honda recommends. I learned not to screw with them by trying non-Honda power steering fluid....

Check the unit of measurement you are using (mm vs. something else)!

1.0mm is .042"

use a converter, buddy.

you really think a 1.1 inch gap is correct when a manual tells you .042"?

anyways... sparkplugs come pregapped for their application. main thing is to just double check it before installation.

true for the most part.

and also according to the helms manual it should be 1.1mm or .043in and when you tighten them the spec is 13lbf-ft of torque
