IACV problem

can anyone tell me if you unhook the idle air contral valve something will go wrong, my integra is jumping around on idle and fluxuating, i unhooked the valve and it stopped... will it hurt to just leave it unhooked... please help

leaving it unhooked will affect your cold starts. since you have it off, spray it really well with carbeurator cleaner. commonly, it gets clogged with god knows what. don't poke around in there because there is a screen filter in it to keep that buildup out of it.

sounds like your iavc is no good. just go get a new one....autozone..i think it was $125 new. ebay $ 34.99 used but still good =) if it doesnt solve the problem, most likely it is though, then search for vacuum leaks.

Is it easy to disconnect? I have the same problem. Is there a step by step site I can look at.

it is easy to install all you have is two 10mm bolts i believe they were, and then two hoses and the wire connections, very simple
