Question Help with ignition

Ok. I just put a engine in a 1g GSX. I have most of the wiring hooked up, except for ONE wire that is black and white. It goes on the loom with the connectors that go to my ignition coils and transister. I was just wondering if anyone knew what I am talking about and if they know where it goes? My spark is not regular but it does spark for the first couple of turns.
Thanks...

Re: Help with ignition

Is this the wire with the one balc connector on it? If so, it goes to the little noise supressing cap that is usually bolted to the manifold.

Yes, that is the one. But if I don't have it connected to any thing will it screw up my spark?
Thanks...
