Re: car dummy needs help with ignition

You may not need a new tumbler. You or a locksmith maybe able you remove the broken piece.
Can you turn the tumbler?

If not, you may have to remove the steering lock and take to a locksmith.

There are usually two bolts with sheared off heads that hold the steering lock assembly to the column. Some have used easy outs to remove the bolts, others have used a dremel with a cutting wheel to make a slot and then use a standard screwdriver to remove, and some have had luck using hammer and a punch. To use the punch, place tip of the punch close to the edge and tap the bolt in a counter-clockwise direction.
