gsr tranny swap

alright...does anyone know if an integra gsr auto tranny will fit w/out any problems into a 95 civic hatchback? my friend is deathly scared of manual tranny's cuz when she was first learning how to drive one she stalled in the middle of an intersection and almost got hit by some guy that was speeding and running all the stop signs.

there is no GSR auto tranny...they are all 5 speeds....tell him to stop being a pussy and learn how to drive a 5 speed

no GSR's in the states dont come with auto anyway...its basically the sport model integra...and no it wont fit in a civic unless it has a GSR motor in it. B series trannys only fit B series motors i.e. DOHC SI, GSR, LS

besides a GSR tranny wouldnt bolt up to a 5th gen hatch anyways because it has a D-series motor and the gsr is a B-series motor.

Yea i didnt know that either. i always thought that it came any way you wanted it except for the Civic Si(99-00 5 spd only) and the Accord V6(Auto only) other than that i thought it did. You can usually get a tranny for pretty cheap at a junkyard. my cousin is running a B16A in his 92 Hatchback with a GSR tranny and it works fine.
