What kit should i start on?

Im just starting serious modeling, painting everything and stuff like that. My question is what models should i start on? Maybe a curbside Tamiya? Its gotta be pretty cheap to get paint and stuff though. I have an airbrush however its very old and i have no idea what paint to use with it or where to get it.

Any ideas?

Depends on what you like. I am into tuner cars and anything with a messload of detail. I did a mclaren with vinyl wirs and everything and it came out great ever since then all models with a basic engine have been a drag. If you look at my reveel ford focus post you will find some of mine. Tamiya makes good models but do you really wanna go curbside. If you want the practice pick up a revell kit there cheap and easy to start off with.

If this is one of you first models go for a Tamiya curbside kit. They have plenty.

its not my first...it'll be like my 10th or 11th but its the first one i want to paint up and make it look halfway decent.

i was thinking something like

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ04002

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ04001

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ03376

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM24040 (i really like this one)

or maybe get 2 of those

or get a bit more expensive model like

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM24090

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ12093

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?AOS30424

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ03442

ALOT of choices...but id prefer to start cheaper so i have more money for paints and accessories.
