Talking Depressed Door

Hey new to this forum and have a few questions. I just bought a 96 Blazer and the driver door is sagging a bit. I have read all of the threads and replaced the door hinge pins and bushings. But still have a little sag I have noticed that the latch is not in the best shape and was wondering if anyone had to replace this to get the door to close properly. Great forum you guys have going here and lots of info. I defected here from the oldsmobile forum. And couldn't be happier

Re: Depressed Door

From recollection of other cars, they're kind of a pain to replace. There are usually various rods attaching to them that are hard to get to. Take the panel off and have a look-see. It's not that hard to get off.

Most times the locks, usually the body side (vs. door side) portion, are adjustable and you may just need to loosen some screws (not remove) and move it up/down a bit for a better fit. Sometimes the "sag" is induced by an out-of-align lock forcing the door down.

LOL

Okay I will check it out as soon as it quits raining. The whole thisng looks bad I am thinking its been this way for awhile the previous owner must not have minded. Flash forward to this summer and me being dragged down the road by my seatbelt after falling out . I gotta fix it.
