2004 M3 1/4 and 60 -90

Does anyone know the quarter and 0-60 times for the 04? As well as the 60 to 90 times. Also were there any changes in the 04 and the 03?

sry 0-60 times are about 4.8 seconds and the 1/4 should probabaly be in the low to mid 13's

heres the website http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/M/M3Coupe/techdata.htm

Tbird was first making the mistake of posting the 0-60 time for and E36 M3 (1992-1999) what your looking for is E46 which is about 4.8 w/ a six speed or about 4.5 to 4.6 w/ and SMG transmission option. This option does cost more, but makes you very competitive w/ a Z06 Vette.

Are you kidding me man...that gay SMG transmition that every manufacturer is so fond of is a piece of garbage. People think that it gets faster shifts than the manual gearboxes. anyone who believes that a computerized clutch is better than the good old leg pushin clutch should be shot, hanged, castrated, and burned alive. there is no substitute to a manual transmition. computers should not do the work that a man is supposed 2 do. the smg was created for street cars souly for the purpose that ass holes that cant get the clutch in, shift, clutch out, gas down pact. its for the incompitant that need the word Manual in their gearbox so they can feel important when in reality its the same garbage as a automatic, and god knows if u own a sports car u should not have a automatic transmition. if smg was so good dont u think that companies wouldnt have problems with it, bmw has problems up the ass with their smg. its rediculous...its for a old man who saved up money all his life and buys a sports car and is to lazy to drive a stick. what kind of a feeling do u get out of drivin a SMG vs a Manual? please some one explain this to me because ive driven both and i dispize the SMG.

man your a f*cking idiot, yeah guess what bud it shifts in 70miliseconds which is twice as fast as the 360 Modena Ferrari and only 10miliseconds slower then an F1 CAR, so go ahead. And theres no way you've driving an SMG your obviously some stuck up american only car ass hole, my family has been a member of the BMW CCA for over 13 years and everyone for a fact, true enthusiasts agree that is it way worth it paying for the SMG. Most E46 M3's that show up are SMG's and guess who drives most of them, BMW CCA certified instructors because they all agree that its a wonderful thing, true they did have problems w/ the 01's w/ the SMG but such problems have disapated. So go take your bullshit somewhere else, and learn your stuff before you just start talking

are you fuckin serious...u are the most fuckin overly opinionated dick head on this forum...ive owned 2 bmw's and my parents have owned them for several years...my dad has a m3 e46 and its a stick...completely stock and he raced one of his friends that he works with that has a 04' m3 with that smg garbage. and my father killed this guy. and dont even try and think about the o well maybe that guy cant drive...thats the purpose for the smg for fuckers like u who cant drive and need a computer to help them. my dad short shifted in 2nd and 3rd at 7,000rpm and beat this guy while he was redlineing... smg sucks there is nothing else to say. and its not that they used to have problems they still do. i work for bmw and i know that they suck dick. so dont even think bout telling me to take my bullshit somewhere else u little fuckin short dicked ass hole. dont come into a forum and talk shit when u k doont know what the fuck u are talkin about.

do u not know how 2 read...i said my dad raced a guy he worked with for fun and beat him...both had the exact same car. how would a e36 have a smg tranny?? and yes short shifting, meaning not redlining then shifting. if u look at any magazine or website posting smg vs manual time for the m3 0-60 and 1/4mile are faster with the manual u dumb ass mother fucker

Re: 2004 M3 1/4 and 60 -90

Well while im a dumb ass mother fucker, you check your stats, the SMG E46 runs a 13.1 to 13 flat while a 6 speed runs approx 13.4 to 13.3, you honestly have no idea on whats goin on w/ BMWs and you have proved yourself as a non BMW driver. Come to either a Windy City or Michiana BMW CCA sanctioned autocross and we can get some feedback from instructors at these events you poser. Nice try though, go back to your non-vtec Civic forum
