My New Prelude

I'm getting my prelude in a couple of days, it's a 1994 Prelude Si, i love the car and it looks so tight, but only problem is it's automatic :-(
is there any way in hell i could ever make this street racing worthy, (i would get a manual but my parents keep telling me, "no you'll get tired of it") im like NO I Won"T!, but they just won't listen, so i'm stuck with this one

so is there anyways i could make this thing street racing worthy even though it's a automatic?

please don't flame me too much for having an auto :'(

Thanks Guys

Re: My New Prelude

I think you should get a manual. Prelude's do have a lot of go even with auto but manual you are better of down the road for more aggersive street racing.

thing is dude, i would get a manual if i could, cuz that's what i really want, but my parents have their mind set on a automatic, it's gay

but do Prelude's have any potential whatsoever being a automatic...

and about how much hp does an auto lose versus a manual?

Re: My New Prelude

Sorry that is not my department. I just think sense you have not bought the car you could hold off and get a manual. Yeah, sorry about the parents. My friends told me that i would get sick of a manual. I love it i think its so fun to shift when i want to.
About hp i don't know the differents the auto to manual have. Also, the potential preludes have can be a lot if you have money, time and patients with the car. Because honda took this car and tuned the heck out of it, so you don't have much to do for yourself to make it any faster. Best way is the to have an engine swap to H22 that is the Vtec version of this car and it has 190 stock (to the flywheel) I love my car its the 92 SI dont' know what i have hp wise, but am going to the track the 17th of this month so i will know times. Can't wait. Check my car out.

Please don't flame me if im saything the wrong stuff i heard this from other people.

Re: My New Prelude

Dude.. hold out and buy a manual behind their back. Seriously. You will thank everyone that suggested getting a manual later. Go find stories of people falling asleep at the wheel and say "that's what I'm going to do if I get an auto." Do yourself a favor, tell your parents what's up, and get a manual.

Re: My New Prelude

i was once in your shoes, anyways you could get a shift kit, or a tuned trans. to redline shift. only good thing about auto is the better launches but it usually cost major $$$ for the kits.i say try talking your parents out of it. Oh and Btw can you drive manual? if not learn how first and show your parents, maybe thats one of their concerns that they dont know anyone that can teach you, and dont forget to use the old "ill get better gas mileage driving manual" on your parents, worked for me.
