02 Stratus Steering Wheel Vibrating While Idling...Is That Normal?

I copped an 02 Stratus from a Chrysler Dealer on Thursday and I've noticed that while I'm idling at a light that only the steering wheel literally vibrates like a pager. The idle remains normal, but the steering wheel just vibrates causing the turn signals to vibrate as well. I took it back to the dealer and he told me that was normal for a 4 cyclinder and I told him that I didn't feel that it was and I have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday. I've never heard of a steering wheel vibrating while at a stop light being normal.

I have a 1997 stratus and it does the same thing. they put in a new damper and it helped a bit but I think it is normal for this car. There is a TSR on from Chrysler.

Thanks, but I checked on Alldata.com and the recall you're referring to was for the 97 Stratus. I didn't see it on mine, but it doesn't mean that it's not the case. I'm taking it in for service today anyway so it will be taken care of today. I also have to pick up my Transmitter today. Thanks again.

I went to the dealer yesterday and heard the exact same thing that it is normal for it to do that b/c it's a 4 cylinder. He told that they used to put a weight on them to stop it from vibrating, but they stopped doing that. It's just something I'll get use to. Thanks for your reply.
