Unhappy Steering wheel vibrates while applying brakes

Hello to all. noticed about 5 weeks ago and has started getting worse
basically truck goes from 0-90 smoothly ,fast, and easily, steering is straight as an arrow, but when I have to slow down for traffic ahead of me as I apply the brakes the steering wheel vibrates between 70-60 mph. ??????????? vehicle does not pull, and no other vibrations while ascending. only between 70-60 while braking..
any and all help and ideas is gladly appreciated.

Hmmm, maybe you should slow down a bit. 90 is a little fast don't you think?

Seriously, I would check the front end suspension and brake parts as well as the tires.
However, in my experiences with vehicles, steering wheel shaking while braking usually indicates the rotors are worn and need to be cut or replaced.

Re: Steering wheel vibrates while applying brakes

That is an early sign of a warp rotor. Change your front rotors, its easy to do...dont bring it to a mechanic theyll charge u an arm and a leg. Let me know that solved ur probs.

Re: Steering wheel vibrates while applying brakes

Hello to all , decided to go back to my "Mech" had to get my norm 2,500 mile oil change anyway, he checked tire rotation, linkages, suspension, tire presssure, took off tires noticed some glaze on a rotor and sanded on it, put back tires inflated and checked off pressures, he feels that if it comes back it will be rotors.... well I drove it but did not get to 90mph-but I got to 80 nice and smooth...applied brakes and it did not occur-but I do not drive at 90mph all the time-so I will provide an update soon. thanks .
