Help! Sudden Lack Of Power!
Hey all, sorry to post, I tried to do a search but came up sadly short.
Anyways, I have 92 Carivan w/ 3.0 litre. Recently once the vehicle warms up a bit I'll be at a stop light and as I pull away the car starts "chugging". Thats the best way i could descibe it It feels like it is basically not getting fuel??? Just did plugs/wires/distrubtor/ tune up and still the problem is there. Please help me! |

WhiteStallion,
Check out your fuel line filter and fuel pump since you have already done the plugs and plug wires etc. Ride On, digimon |

Re: Help! Sudden Lack Of Power!
The fuel filter should be under the van on the drivers side about half way back just follow the fuel line back. The brake lines don't have a filter. You can try to clean it or just buy a new one its cheap if you haven had this done for along time get a new one. The filter is about two inches by one and one half in diamiter its inline. You can also check to see if the fuel pump is working when you disconect the line here. Have someone try to start the van while you watch the fuel come out of the fuel line into a pan. If it sperts out under pressure the pump should be good. When my pump went it was intermitten at first then nothing. It took about a week or so for it to go completely. As for the cat, is your exaust seem to be at a normal rate or does it seem strained or does it back fire? Ride on, digimon
