need help 91 crownvic lacks power
I have a 302 in it and here in the past year its been acting real funny it stalls after starting it in warm weather. It also lacks alot of power getting on the interstate it falls flat on its face i've replaced the iac and tp sensor and also have done a complete tune up replaced all filters and nothing helps can anyone help me.

have you checked the camshaft timing chain? how many miles on this engine??

it says 87150 but i dont know if it turned over cuz the other person who owned it was an elderly person.ya i checked the timing to

could be clogged cat or cats if duals. the timing chain and gears should be double row. i don't think this is what is causing no power.check the inside of the distributor cap for build up also you said complete tune up, new plug wires? the stalling problem is probably gonna be the throttle positioner or throttle position sensor both of these are on the throttle body.

i've cleaned out the cats and replaced my iac and tp sensor could it be my map sensor or even my computer

the throttle positioner moves the butterfly in the throttle body the throttle position sensor tells the ecm or the pcm where the throttle is idle,mid throttle wide *** open. if the tps ain't working properly the ecm don't know where the throttle is. this will affect the starting as the ecm don't know where the throttle so it will idle smoothly. try the position sensor first as it is cheaper than the positioner.
