Whats the deal Nissan?

I'm talking about some serious design problems of the 240sx! I looked for 35 minutes in my car and failed to find a cup holder! I've come to the conclusion that there is actualy not a cup holder, unless there is one some where in the hatch but really that won't do me any good.

Come on now nissan! even my friend's 91' Ford taurus has a cup holder! A really nice one two with dual 115mm cup support rings, stainless steel hinges with spring loaded retractable arms that open the device in only 0.4 seconds!

In the mean time I'm making due with jamming drinks into the drivers side door holder thing. Any one know of some Cup holder kits, and possibly turbo kits for the cup holder? I have a dire need to stay on top of the said grandma-mobile in every possible way. k thx

Re: Whats the deal Nissan?

you must be joking right....it is a sports car not a luxury car. Comparing it to a taurus is pointless cause a taurus was meant for family/luxury the 240sx was meant for performance and ride factor. if it is a big deal just make a cup holder in your center console lid or something, just cut two holds over the lid. There's the kit....

Re: Whats the deal Nissan?

nissan was focusing on a fun driving car that's lightweight, has great handling, and has perfect weight balance. Not a cup holder. Inconvienent yes but an easy solution, go to pep boys and buy one and you can install it in your car

I tried that once... my crotch was wet with sprite for an hour! Being sticky down there isn't fun!

Oh-yeah, KenOhki2112, you dweeb! SPORTS-CARS don't have cup-holders! Stick to your friend's grocery getting Taurus! He just may wanna trade you!

guys, you really don't need to rip him apart because of the fact that he didn't notice that his car didn't have a cupholder. it's an honest mistake, and i for one can understand why he wants one, even though i most likely won't be eating or drinking in my car once it's on the road.

if you go on Japanese Yahoo, you'll see that nearly every S13 has one of those cupholders that clips onto the AC/heat vents in your dashboard. i plan on getting one, and my friend has one in his 240SX.

another option is one of the ones that looks like a cup, and has an adhesive bit on the bottom. you could stick one of those to the top of your console lid. i have one, but won't use it in my car cause those adhesive strips usually leave residue when you take it off, and i don't want to wreck my console lid.
