My stupid civic trying to work out whats wrong!
Hey again.
Well a lil while ago I ran off the road and up an embankment. It is the front left wheel. the symptons are: Wheel has been pushed back (towards the rear) Camber is now positive so its like this \\ Toe is out on the wheel. From what I can see the lower arm is bent. I think the upper arm just got shifted and rotated in the ball and socket joint. So it hasnt actually bent. The lower arm has bent back (towards the rear) so I am assuming the tie rod must have also bent / been damaged as it holds the arm in place. Would replacing the control arm and tie rod fix these problems. I know it will fix the wheel being pushed back and alignment should fix the toe issue. but its the camber that has got me questioning.. Other notes. Car does not make any weird sound when driving or braking Shocks do not make any sounds. They move normal and seem in tact. CV joints seem intact. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!!

a freind of mine had the same problem. Their was a dead deer in the road and he swerved not to hit it and lost controle and hit a curb And puched his weel back. It actually bends the k member. That is where your lower controll arm attatches, and the rear motor mount. I also houses the steering rack. We just went to the junk yard and found one lying around and they sold us the entire front suspension for 150

Re: My stupid civic trying to work out whats wrong!
mounting point looks ok. It wasnt a solid smack like a kerb. But yeh the mounting point of the lower arm defenatly looks fairly strain. the trans axle jumped up and gave it a bang but when comparing to the other it looks like the arm took all the force.
also because the steering wheel doesnt shake whel driving and responds fine it makes me think that it want damaged. camber isnot out by heaps. the car is still drivable. mbe a few degrees positive.
