I have a 91 metro and yesterday I started it up and it stalled. Now it wont re-start. It turns over like it wants to start but wont. I thought it might be the starter but took it out and had it tested and its fine. The timing belt wont turn either. Has anyone had this problem? Perhaps you make know what it is?

flooded
Try this,
Pop the hood and disconnect the wire for the fuel injector. (You might have to remove the air cleaner to gain access, If you've done this a couple of time you probably won't need to.) Then turn the motor over, with the injector unplugged. Once it starts it will run for a few seconds then die. When it does go back under the hood and plug the injector back in. It should start and run, let it idle for a minute or two before you take off. Good luck. |
