confused with mpfi stuff

Quote:
JDM SOHC ZC OBD0 STYLE INTAKE MANIFOLD
This is an auction for a JDM intake manifold from a SOHC ZC motor. This intake will work on any SOHC civic motor from 88-2001. This manifold comes with the injectors, rail and the throttle body. The JDM unit is a factory replacement and will add some hidden horsepower to your car. This Intake is perfect to replace your worn unit or to upgrade. The JDM version has bigger injectors and larger runners for lower end torque. The injectors that come with this intake are LOW IMEDANCE units. IF you would like to run them in your 92-00 civic you will have to wire in a resistor box. Or put a resistor inline with each injector. You can also use your current injectors in this manifold and skip the resistor box. I have sold a few of these manifolds before but they are getting harder to get so bid now and don't be left out. Good luck and happy bidding. **** In some of the units that are imported from Japan the TPS or other sensor may be damaged due to the engines moving around on the ocean container.**** Any US Sensors will work though. Any US Sensors will work though.

thats the direct quote from the ebay seller, i was under the impression that u needed a resistor box no matter what, i'm thinking of buying this but i wanna know if i still need a resistor box or not, please lemme know

Re: confused with mpfi stuff

is ur car dpfi or not? from ur sig it appears dpfi. That IM is identical to the A6 manifold. So, i hope he's not selling it for more because it's JDM; it's the same as the us Si one. Also, you will need the injector resistor box from any honda/acura which all use 6 ohm resistors or you can do like he said and wire up 4 separate 6 ohm resistors. Ur also gonna need the mpfi A6 ecu and dizzy.

Re: confused with mpfi stuff

how much is that motor? i got a ZC dohc engine longblock plus tranny for $825 to my door from Hmotorsonline.com. it runs perfect and i live in NC so if you're closer to cali i'm sure it would be cheaper. Only reason i ask is because i've been ripped off by good ol, EBayers

Re: confused with mpfi stuff

I would say plan on finding a tps sensor since he's pretty much telling you you're not gonna get one... Just go to a wrecking yard and find an Si... Just my $0.02...

Re: confused with mpfi stuff

well, if it doesn't have a TPS, you can use ANY TPS out of ANY MPFI HONDA/ACURA. They will all work.
Also, yah ur right, ur gonna need the PM6 ecu (which u got) and the dizzy from an 88-91 si. Don't forget that ur also gonna need the injector resistor box.
