Interior modification
I've started painting my interior... I've gotten the center console almost completely painted to my sadification... I was wondering how to get the cloth parts of my car a diffrent color.. I was thinking about taking seat covers off a Junkyard MX-3 then making a pattern and making my own... but I was wondering how to take care of the top and door panels... I hate that mesh color...

hehehe, there are a few ways to do the door panels. You can replace it with another fabric such as leather by separating the cloth from the black sticky layer (It will be easier if you can preserve the sticky layer when it comes time to put the new leather or whatever.
OR, you can do like I am currently doing. I ripped off the cloth, layed a layer of fiberglass resin, let it dry. Put a coat of Bondo. Sand it so that it is smooth, then primer, paint a few coats then use glazing putty or lots of laquer to put the finishing touch. Here is what it looks like.  A buddy of mine got his seats done professionally for 450$.. I wouldnt have a clue on how to do it myself.

I went to Reno Depot, but you should be able to find Resin and the Fiberglass mat at most hardware stores. If not they will know where you could find some. Suprisingly, Canadian Tire by my house didnt have any.
 Just a tip: Do not lay the bondo thick... I have been sanding for days now  Just a thin layer that covers eveything will do..
