Angry Heater/AC blower only works on high. 1992

The heater/AC blower motor only works on the high setting.
Is this controlled by the "Fan Control Amplifier" ?
Local parte counter doesn't list it or knows what it does.
This car has the climate control unit, or whatever it's called.

thanks

Not sure about the older models, but nissans have a common resister problem. I just replaced one in a 96' sentra that had the exact same problem and now it works great. It was around 25 bucks at a local nissan dealer. Hope this will help.

I'm not sure that they are identical parts but imagine they perform similarly. The resistor "resists" amps going to the fan thus allowing for different speeds. Without it, the fan will either work or not because there is no control to modify speeds. The fan control amplifier sure sounds like the same idea, although, I have never heard of it being refered to as that. I would look up any nissan dealer online and call up the service departments. They usually know that stuff on the top of their heads. Also, at my nissan dealer you can go in and request to look at any service manual and they are willing to copy anything you need out of it. Maybe that will prove useful. If not, AutoZone has proved helpful for me in the past. Let me know how things unfold.

I got the "Fan Control Amplifier" name from a Chiltons manual. Even took a copy of the page to O'Rileys and Auto Zone. Both places here didn't know what it was even with a picture.

Thanks for the help.
I'll go to a dealer later this weeek.
