1992 Dash lights won't go out

I just got a 1992 lumina. The dash lights will go out if I shut the car off and turn the interior lights off but when i open a door and close it the lights will pop back on. We checked things out it all seems normal. Please help batteries get expensive and climbing out of the trunk gets old.

I had the sam problem with a 91 lumina. It hapend right after I installed a new headunit. I got it check out and they said it that there is like a swich that controlls all that and something must have re set it.

you might want to get that fixed right away cause I killed a new batery cause of that problem.
