99 Cobra needs bigger wheels and tires!
Hi, right now i'm running 255 35/17 nitto 555R drag radials on my 99 Cobra.. the stock wheels are 17x8 i believe.. i wanna run a much wider tire on it.. from what i've learned the 17x8's can't hold a 315 and thats the size i want.. would 315 fit on a 17x9 or would i need an even bigger wheel? like, 17x9.5 or 10.. how would that fit on my cobra ? would it rub?

hey i know grant lol he is pretty helpfull.. he hooked me up with tires for my old 2000 Z24.. it's cool though i ended up buying nitto 555R drag radials like 20 minutes ago... i was forced into it cause i have two bad tires on my car so.. i did wanna get some rims and really big tires, but i kinda needs tires badley right now and i didn't have enough time to save up, but i am going slightly wider on my stock rims.. i currently have 255/40/17 and i just bought 275/40/17 so hopefully the extra width and better compound tire will help me get my 60' times down..i went to the track this past weekend and best i could manage on my baldies was 2.1 which got me a 13.46@ 104 mph.. i know if i hook good i could do much better.. realistically i wanna see times around 13 flat, but i'm aiming for a 12.9.. that will make my day for sure...

its a centrificle supercharger... i think of it as the less extreme of the two.. normally with a blower you get more low end torque and with a turbo its more top end.. although a lot of ppl on this thread will argue with that statment..
