Bypass factory amp

Can anyone help

I bought a new cd-player for my 98 acura cl
and I am wondering on how to get it to power up, I am not sure on how to bypass the factory amp, if it matters the factory system is bose, and the factory amp is located in the trunk.

like, make the stereo turn on, or make the speakers work with it, or what?

... and why did you replace an OEM bose unit...
