Re: skid plates

Are you looking for Factory ones or aftermarket? Didnt your truck come with them installed?, My 99' silverado has the full set.

Re: skid plates

I bought my truck used and the front plate is not on. The back plate is though. A factory plate would be fine, but what is the difference between a factory one and an aftermarket one?? Does it really make a difference?

Re: skid plates

i would assume the factory ones bolt on easier. If I were you I would call the dealer and give them your VIN # and they can get the plates your missing, Aftermarket plates sometimes dont fit right, Chevy has the mount holes already there you just have to bolt it on.

Re: skid plates

Factory plates are also made of plastic wheras most aftermarket ones are aluminum.
