Hard Start 95 Blazer

I Have A 1995 Chevy Blazer That Takes A Few Seconds To Start And Runs Rough For A Few Seconds After It Is Started. It Does This When The Motor Is Warm Or Cold. Dealer Said It Might Be Fuel Injecter Bleed Down And Said $1000 To Fix. Any Ideas Before My Wallet Gets Bled Down?

I couldn't tell you if it's a fuel injector bleed but I had my injector assembly replaced and with parts and labor ran about $975. If you know for sure that's the problem have an independent mechanic do it and save money on laber. Good luck.

you can get a new AC Delco CPI assembly for around $225 off Ebay, and if you handy with a few tools, its not a hard job.

just be sure to replace the little fuel lines (the ones in the intake itself) that feed the CPI assembly. the fuel lines however ARE a dealer item, and thus you have to get them from the dealer parts dept.

Re: Hard Start 95 Balzer

When I had my CPI unit replaced it didn't cost me anything because it was under warranty but I did see the paper work and with parts and labor it came to a little over $400.
