Unhappy How do I reset the Maintenance Light?

I have a 2003 CRV and I've misplaced the owner's manual. I had my oil changed somewhere other than a Honda dealership. Can anyone help me with resetting my maintenance light? You help would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to believe that you have a 2003 CRV and have already misplaced the owner's manual. If it were left in the glove box like it was meant to be ... you would not be on here asking this question.

Now ... that out of the way ...

Make sure the speedometer is showing the ODOMETER ... NOT the TRIP METER. Next ... you want to have the key in the ignition ... but NOT on. You are going to use the button that you use to switch from the odometer to the trip meter. You want to hold that button in. Next ... turn the key to the on position (do NOT start the vehicle ... just go until all the lights come on). You should see the MAINTENENCE LIGHT come on and it may flash off and then back on. Some of the lights will then stay on steady ... some will flash (not sure what yours will do). Continue holding the button in until the light goes out. While still holding the button ... turn the ignition switch off. Now turn it back on and you should see the light come on and then it will go off (if you did this right).

Hope that helped you.
