So when is the new ctr coming out?

I thought they were bringing them to the states soon?

I dont think so, beside they would bring the ITR first brfore the CTR. I know it's hard to belive, but I don't even think that the ITR will come out over here. The other ITR's 96-20 didn't sell that good over here It was a big dispointment for honda. (23.000 brand new) I think????

Re: So when is the new ctr coming out?

Itrs 2003 are not that fast, 14.7 quarter mile, and they would have to cost 25,000 or so...not a very big market for that car. Although it handles very well. The CTR would be a better shot for honda I bet.

Re: So when is the new ctr coming out?

I've also heard about them coming over soon, but I haven't searched the net to find any specifics. It'd be nice to have a new, fast Civic that didn't look like a shrunken minivan.

Does that mean its gona be as heavy as the Si? Si is like 200-300 pounds heavier than ordinary civics.

Re: So when is the new ctr coming out?

I would guess they won't be. They'll probably eliminate some of the creature comforts like they did with the ITR

this guy doesn't know much. So what exactly did you picture the CTR looking like?

That was uncalled for. Actually this guy does know much, but he didn't happen to know what the CTR looks like.

sure the new SI(SIR Canada/CTR) is heavier than the coupe, but you have to realize they dont sell Civic Coupes in Japan.

there is a reason that there is a type-R badge on the car.... there is NO" sound dampening foam, and insulation. the glass in the type-Rs is thinner, and over all tunned to be a track car so i would think that Honda would have corrected any problems with wieght or launch or stability in the original Si. and dont go by the quarter miles times cause this car is made for the road corse!
