New SVT lightning Body Style Release
The new body style does not come out until the middle to end of 04, The 04's are out but with the same body stlye

The Lighting might come out in the 05 model year. But heard a rumer that SVT might shut down for a year because of all the new modles coming out the Focus,Mustang, and F-150. If that happens then it would come out 06 model year with all three.

I believe its 2004. Check out the power specs.
Bore x stroke 3.55 x 4.16 in Displacement 330 cu 5410 cc Compression ratio 8.4:1 Fuel injection Sequential multi-port electronic Valvetrain SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder Power 380 hp @ 4750 rpm Torque 450 lb-ft @ 3250 rpm Someday it will be mine...oh yes...someday soon.

it will actuall be in 06 and it will have a 507hp engine w/ 678 as far as tq goes. it will use a new but still force fed 5.4L it will now have 32valves instead of 16 also. and it will be a dohc. have fun with it if ya get it.

Well currently the next one is planned to come out in 08, or later. It will have at least 500hp.

My father owns a ford dealership in florida. I have personally asked ford reps when the new lightning will be out, they all have no idea. I also asked the rep at ROUSH and he told me that they might not ever make one again. That if you want a supercharged f-150 you'll have to go to your dealer, have them order a blower from roush (which just came out in november) and have the dealer install the blower. We just sold a customer a supercrew f-150 roush edition and installed a blower for him. I was not impressed especially for the money. Honestly i can't believe svt would not come out with a new lightning, it's the hottest truck ever (I love mine). I think svt is putting their attention towards the new shelby mustang and svt sport trac with a 4.6l superchared engine putting out 390 horsepower. if svt comes out with a new lightning i think were looking at 2010. it sucks but thats the low down. you people have no idea about our product and that is why ford stock is so low!!!

I think that if Ford gets it together finacially we well be seeing another Lightning sooner than you think. Possibly 2008 hopefully with a slightly redone f-150 so it wouldn't cost so much to have a good chassy for it. One of the original reasons it went away in the first place just like the first gen. and came back about 4 years later.

THE IDIOTS ARE FORD MOTOR COMPANY, NOT YOU!! They rather show girls running around and have people in the dark than show our products. What you wrote earlier was that they were going to come out with a lightning, which from what i heard is not true. I'll say it again, i asked the roush rep (roush designed the lightning motor) who said they are not going to build another lightning. I truly hope he's wrong. It's ford's fault that people don't know the product. I did'nt want to make anyone look or feel like an idiot, i'm sorry. :-( I'm just alittle frustrated with ford. when I said if they come out with one in 2010, it was just my opinion.
