Anti lock light on!

I have a 1994 Land rover discovery and I tried everything to get rid of the anti-lock light. Is there anyone who can help me and tell what steps to take to get rid of that annoying light please!.

According to my 99 Disco Manual the light is supposed to stay on for a certain number of tire revolutions. During this time the car is doing a systems check. As soon as the system checks out ok then the light goes off. If it doesn't go off there is something in the system that isn't checking out ok. Unfortunatly I am no mechanic and can't tell you what to check but there may be something that isn't working correctly.

have you had your pads changed recently? Has anything changed on the setup of your disco recently that might cause this? I know on some cars that if your disco has wear sensors, then it will come on when the pads are low. Or if you put pads on that don't have wear sensors or the wrong kind of wear sensors, then the light will come on. ONly problem is, I don't think the '94 discos had wear sensors, but maybe it was an otion or something. Might be worth checking. See if you can get any further details on the way your disco is set up.

I have just finished dealing with this exact same problem on my 96 disco...Antilock light on!!! I was told a couple times it was a wheel speed sensor, but not to guess at which one because they are a expensive. I had the truck hooked up to the computer and sure enough....Front left Wheel sensor was throwing a fault due to a short.
$300 for the sensor and $100 for labor...equals no more light and perfectly functioning brakes. Something to look into...

I have a 4in lift on my disco, and when i flex all the way my brake light comes on because the wire to the brake comes un plugged. Look in your rear wheel wells to see if the plugs are attached. Road debris could have unpluged one of them.
