Brake pads wearing out fast???? Help

I replaced the front brake pads twice already, and everything works fine for about
2-3 thousand miles then the whole car’s front vibrated when I use the brakes.
Also, the front brake pads wear out way too fast. About 8 – 9 thousand miles.

I have a feeling that the back break don’t work at all? And if that’s the
case how could a check this? (Or how do I adjust it?)
Please help.

Re: Brake pads wearing out fast???? Help

Rotors might be warped, that could cause a vibration in the front end during braking. Not sure if that will cause the pads to wear down that fast though. There is a way to adjust the rear drums, a mechanic did that during my inspection.

Re: Brake pads wearing out fast???? Help

always service and adjust the rear brakes when you do work on the front ones. if the e-brake works the back brakes work but probably not as much as their supposed to. the front brakes never last very long on your car, sometimes the front wheel bearings loosen up a little check for any slop in the wheels whith the front end lifted. if you have an 1 1/4 socket and an impact give the axle nut a little zap. also if you overtighten the lugnuts new rotors will warp faster.
