washer fluid light

okay.... i may sound stupid or something but i have no idea how to get my stupid washer light on my instrument cluster to go out? i put fluid in my front and rear washer resivours tanks and it still wont go out??? what gives?! how can i get it to go out?

also i bought my car in december and i know that the timing belts should be replaced every 60k - 80k i was wondering, i checked the timing belt out by looking at it through the cover opening, what exactly should you be lookin for to determine a bad / worn timing belt or a new one? like their is no tears no worn grooves nothing. it looks good but i don't want it to break on me or something?! should i take it to the shop for them to check out? thanks alot guys

if your in the range of 60-80k miles and it needs replacement (even if it doesnt look it), just get it replaced. there's no sense in letting it go till it gets worn and breaks. i'd rather pay for a new t-belt than replace the whole head cause it broke and bent the valves to hell.

Re: washer fluid light

nicerydez;
At 200,000 kms (about 124,000 miles), I doubt that it's the original timing belt, but stanger things have happened!

I would have to agree with jp91tsi on this one, i.e., better to replace it since you don't know when it was changed, if at all.

While you're in there, plan on replacing the balance shaft belt as well, and the water pump. You may have many miles left on the pump you have, but if you have to change it you need to remove the timing cover and belt to do it, so it just makes sense to put a new one on while you have everything apart.
