Question 1991 Mazda 626 - Check engine & washer fluid lights

The check engine light on my 1991 Mazda 626 comes on every time I drive. It doesn't come on right away, but after three or four minutes of driving it comes on and stays on. The engine, to me, seems to run fine (not *perfectly* -- it's a 13-year-old car, after all -- but fine).

I'm not sure if it's related or not, but the washer fluid light is always on, even though there's plenty of washer fluid.

Anyone have a idea of what could be causing this? Or how I can find out?

On your washer tank at the bottom there is a sensor switch, when fluid is in the washer tank the switch grounds and keeps the light out. your switch may be ubplugged or the wire is open, (read) broken. This has NOTHING to do with the check engine light comming on. You should as soon as possible get the codes checked that are stored in the e.c.m. when the check engine light comes on, as soon as possible. What starts out as a small problem when the check engine light first comes on can quickly become a major problem (read) runs bad or quits. if left uncorrected....Later, Mark.
