exhaust mod

hey guys,
I came across this mod the other day while looking at ls1.com. This guy has an ls1 of course and what he did was this. U know where the pipe coming from the converter enters the muffler is right? well the muffler also has another pipe that comes out on the same side that the exhaust comes in right? ok he drilled a hole on the entry pipe as well as the exit pipe and used copper plumbing pipe to make a connection between the two holes. what is that all about? he said something about it being a poor mans borla. If u want to check it out just go to ls1.com and at the top click mods and then click the exhaust mod it has all the pics.

all he's doing is makin it a little louder and maybe freeing up a little back pressure. but tend to question his epoxy job, vibration and movements between the pipes is gonna break the glue.

Re: exhaust mod

yeah, thats not a power adder, just something to wake up the neighbors a bit easier. i found the easiest way to do that, my muffler rusted through at the inlet pipe and fell off. so all i have now is the pipe from the cat, back to where the muffler SHOULD be, kinda glorified open headers, makes that wussy 305 sound MEAN as all hell
