2001 Caravan Air Intake/Exhaust Mods?

Has anyone modded a Gen 4 (2001-up) Caravan air intake or exhaust?

On my 3.3-equipped 95, I popped open the air cleaner and removed the restrictor, which gave me a nice growl at WOT and seemed like it would make a good addition to an exhaust mod, which I would like to do next.

I'd like to try removing the resonator or maybe going with a Borla XS Pro muffler like Excelon's. The exhaust is totally silent now (just sounds like compressed air) and I'd like to free it up a bit to try and improve the gas mileage and performance. I've got to be careful though, I put a Borla exhaust on my S.O.'s last car and it resonated so badly inside that she refused to drive it. It did improve mileage and performance though.

I looked at the 2001's air cleaner and there doesn't seem to be a restrictor that can easily be removed, so I may have to do some cutting. Just curious to see if anyone else has tried this out.

LOL, look at my sig that is one of my other cars. My wife only wants to drive that she loves the sound it has... I removed all of the Pre-cats it has a Y-Pipe (some call it a Down pipe) to a high flow cat, the out via a Greddy full cat back system..! That and it has a Stillen intake under the hood.

It's funny to hear her come home and tell me some (sports car) tried to race her and she in the 4 door sedan was able to beat it. To look at the car other than the exhaust and the fact it's lowered appears to be stock.

Sorry to go on about that...

I had an intake on my 97 camery and removed it when I got rid of that car, from what I understand a 3" cone can be installed on my van. I think that is what I have (somewhere in my basement) once it gets warmer I do plan on attempting to install it on the van. It doesn't look like it will be that hard to do. Once I do it I’ll post pictures for everyone to reference.
