stupid ricer stories

this dude at my work told me he had a 97 probe GT with a v8 swapped into it "port N polished, bored, and stroked and nawz and shit... it was built by nasa and i was going 210mph on interstate 80 and the fucking highway patrol yakked me and i got a fat fucking ticket" i said "hm wow, how much 'nawz' did you have?" and he said "200 shots, i used like 30 of them getting up to 210"

someone else said that they had a 00 silverado with a bigblock 7.3L v8 swapped into it with "sick cams" so it could redline at 8000rpm while his tach only GOES to 6k while big blocks are for lowend torque not wrenching out at extreme rpm. he also has a "racing transmission that was 4 g'z" and a "spider gear dude, STRAIGHT posi" (he came into the work parking lot one day and did a fat burnout, only 1 tire was spinning, i was like "nice posi dude" he says he's going to get slicks so he can drop 2 seconds off his 1/4 mile cuz as is he cant get traction (he says he runs high 11s as is)

post more, i love hearing stupid asses tell me that a b16 i was thinking of swapping is a skyline engine and wont work

... 7.3L is 445ci...

I think he ment a 7.4L 454ci BBC, but in 2000 the only BBC available was the 8.1L 496ci. So, he down graded? hehe.

And, my buddy who just moved away had a 454ci in his '66 Chevelle that was 13:1 Compression and was balanced to turn 10,000rpm. Doesn't mean it made power up there, it made it's peak power around 6500-8500rpm. It just had the capability to turn 10k.

Crazy shit. We were once cruising in his car and going around some traffic he got on the gas and we switched lanes just from the torque of the motor. Fun times... scary car. 4 wheel Drum Brakes.. it has enough stopping power for 1 'oh shit' stop. After that the brakes are toast for about 5 minutes while they cool off.

Re: stupid ricer stories

Get This:
Theres this freshman at my highschool who says he has a 1995 Mazda RX-7. I go along (not beliving a freshman could own such a car) with him and ask him what kinda of motor does he have in it, he says "oh it's got a V6 Roatery Engine in it!" LOL, about Shit my pants laughing, I then ask him what package is it (RZ or RS) he claimed it wasn't eathier of them.
He did eventully confess to not owning a RX-7, but rather a brand new 2004 Eclipse Spyder that looks just like the one in 2 fast 2 furious and that it was only $14,000. One of my buddies works part counter at Mistu. and says for the fully loaded models $38 Grand+!

He was Soo Busted!

is that the one with the "Very Tall Engine Coolant" and gatorade dispenser under the hood?

when i read this thread i thought of this kid one night while i was out driving. he was in a crx with a disproportionately large wing, undercarriage lights, loud bowling ball sized muffler, etc., and was trying to race me in my 95 maxima. he was next to me at a light, him in the right lane and me in the left. he was revving on me at the light. now, the lane he was in was a turning lane and a lane for driving straight so it had an arrow light under the typical set of lights. well, the arrow turned green, but not the other lights, and he was anticipating the race so much that he nailed the gas and flew into the middle of the intersection while traffic began to go through, so to get out of the oncoming traffics way he began to cut it into the parking lot to the left of him. now the entrance to this parking lot has a median seperating entering traffic and exiting traffic. well this kid thought he could make it into the parking lot and then just u turn around the median, but the tool overestimated his turning ability and wound up getting his car stuck in the middle of the median under his front lip, like between the two front tires. so he had to put it in reverse grind the shit out of his bumper/lip/oilpan and then he just burned out and ran the redlight. i almost had to pull over i was laughing so hard. now that kid was a stupid, stupid ricer. and he would've gotten shitted on anyway so i guess there was no escaping some form of embarassment.

There is this one guy that has a base model 94-95 civic automatic. It is BONE STOCK except for a HEADER and a short ram intake. He says he dynoed it 157 rwhp. OK...... oh yeah and "he has a SKYLINE, a turbocharged probe that can beat my 5.0, a 750 rwhp nissan 240 with a 200 shot of nitrous, and some other POS that was turobcharged" yet for some silly reason i've only seen his base model automatic civic. Damn, i must be going blind.

DAMN, 10,000rmp, i can't even imagine what that must have sounded like. My mustang begins to sing at around 4500 or so, so i mean up towards around 9000thing must be screaming. That is awsome. I was always thinking about in the future getting a high revving v8. I know you can just get massive lowend torque and have the power there, but at heart I still like high revving engines.
