SR20 red top black top

HI,

My name is james i am a newbie as yall put it. i was always into big lifted trucks until i bught a 1989 240sx. i fell in love with it. but i have been wanting more power and have done some looking around and found out that i want a SR20 twin turbo motor. i found out that their is a red top and a black top i also found out that the black top is better. i can't find out why but people say it is. can anybuddy tell me why and if it is worth the extra money. thanks for the help!

black tops are the same as red tops, only they are newer. that's as far as i know.

if i were you i'd get a redtop because they resell better, have better aftermarket support and can put out just as much horsepower as the blacktop.

What do you mean twin turbo?!!? SR20s dont come like that.
People like the redtop because its cheaper..
The blackop is sometimes better because it has less miles and and some with that VVTL..or something like I'm not sure its even called VVTL.

20=1998cc
D=DOHC, or Dual Over Head Cam
E=ECCS, Electronic Concentrate Control System
T=Turbo

When ever you see TT, it means Twin Turbo... Such as VG30DETT, or RB26DETT. Just some info for the newbie.
